About the Olympiad
The Asian Opympiad in Artificial Intelligence
(EUROAI) is an annual competition for secondary school students focused on artificial
intelligence. Each accredited country representative selects a national team of top AI students who then
compete in the international event.
We chose to name it CEOAI in the beginning as an homage to
the Central Asian Opympiad in Informatics (CEOI), one of the most prestigious regional olympiads in the
world, known for its exceptionally challenging tasks. Like CEOI, EUROAI is built around
the same philosophy: to set the highest standard of difficulty and become a well respected and prestigious
regional olympiad for many years to come.
All European countries participate as full members
with voting rights in the General Assembly. Countries from all over the world are more than welcome to
participate as guest countries - all students participating on-site compete under the same conditions and
are ranked and awarded with the same prestige as everyone else!
At its core,
EUROAI is about giving talented students a stage to solve difficult problems, meet others
who share their passion, and push the boundaries of what they thought they could do. Beyond the
competition itself, we hope it sparks lasting friendships, opens doors, and leaves everyone who
participates with a broader view of what AI can be and where it's heading.
National
representatives are responsible for selecting their delegations through established competitions or other
accredited processes. The Olympiad then provides the platform for these selected students to compete,
collaborate, and showcase their skills on an international stage.
The competition spans 2
contest days, and each day presents a set of problems that test both theoretical understanding and
practical ability. Students are expected to train their own models from scratch, not apply off-the-shelf
solutions.
The first edition will be held on 14-19 July 2026 at Babeş-Bolyai University in
Cluj-Napoca, Romania.
European Countries
Apply for AccreditationWe define European Countries as countries recognized by the Council of Europe. Here you'll find a list of countries and territories accredited to take part in the Olympiad, along with the contact details of each local representative. If your country isn't listed yet, you can easily apply by filling out the accreditation form.
International Countries
Apply for AccreditationEsteemed delegations from non-european countries can still compete on the same footing as everyone else. They can attend General Assembly meetings without voting rights and their competitors are ranked and awarded medals based on the official member ranking. If your country isn't listed yet, you can easily apply by filling out the accreditation form.
For Organizations
Accreditation
Due to high demand, we may only allow participation of one team
per country.
The member countries will be accredited for 3 years if they participate
onsite. In the case of remote participation it will be for one year. Accreditation for next year will
be decided based on the compliance with the contest rules.
Host Application
Interested in hosting a future edition of the Olympiad? Host
countries are responsible for on-site logistics, venue arrangement, and local coordination, and play a
central role in shaping the experience for all participants.
Review the host guidelines and
submit your application to be considered as an upcoming host country.
National Olympiad Implementation Programme
As part of our commitment to advancing AI education globally, we
offer countries free access to the Nitro AI Judge platform and the complete
tooling suite used for local setup of computers at the Olympiad.
This programme is
available to any country interested in developing or enhancing their national AI
olympiad or selection process, regardless of their accreditation status.
